This release introduces a wide range of new features and improvements across Time Tracking, Time Off, Payroll, Mobile app and Employee profile modules\u2014 each designed to simplify operations, strengthen compliance, and enhance the user experience.<\/p>\n<p>These latest updates are a direct result of feedback from our customers and partners, continuing our mission to eliminate friction and manual work from everyday HR operations.<\/p>\n<h3>What\u2019s New in October<\/h3>\n<p><b>UZIO Time Tracking Enhancements<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Missed Break Calculation and Premium Logic <\/strong>\u2013 The system now identifies breaks missed within their eligible windows, ensuring accurate premium pay and compliance.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Break Notifications and Restrictions<\/strong> \u2013 Automated reminders notify employees when it\u2019s time to start or end breaks, while new settings let you restrict early break starts.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Shift Scheduling Notifications <\/strong>\u2013 Send real-time notifications to employees and managers.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Time Attestation <\/strong>\u2013 Employees can now review and confirm their time entries at clock-out or from their timesheet for improved accuracy and accountability.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Long Running Time Entry <\/strong>\u2013 Employers now have configurable reminder settings.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Missed Clock-Out Punch <\/strong>\u2013 Allow Employees to Clock In for the Next Shift if they missed the clock out from the previous shift.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>UZIO Kiosk and Mobile App Enhancements<br \/>\n<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Biometric Login (Facial Recognition on Kiosk): <\/strong>Employers can now enable employees to log in to the Kiosk using facial recognition, offering a faster and secure alternative to PIN-based authentication.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Biometric Authentication (Fingerprint\/Face\/Pin on Mobile App): <\/strong>Unlock the Mobile app using the device\u2019s native biometric options such as fingerprint or face ID for quick, secure access.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Offline Time Tracking: <\/strong>Track time even without internet connectivity, entries automatically sync once the connection is restored.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Push Notifications: <\/strong>Receive instant alerts for new documents, tasks, and approvals directly on mobile.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Profile Self-Service: <\/strong>Employees can view and update personal details such as contact information and address from the mobile app.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Polygon Geofencing: <\/strong>Define precise, multi-point worksites to prevent off-site punches and improve location accuracy.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>UZIO Time Off Enhancements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Automatic Reversal of PTO Accruals on Void Payroll:<\/strong>\u00a0Reverses PTO accruals linked to voided payrolls to maintain perfect synchronization.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Automatic PTO Balance Payout on Employee Termination:<\/strong>\u00a0Automatically calculates and syncs PTO balance payouts during termination, ensuring accurate and timely processing.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Adjusted Service Date:<\/strong>\u00a0Enables accurate accruals for rehires or employees whose prior service should be recognized.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Automatic Proration for Rehired Employees:<\/strong>\u00a0Applies correct proration rules automatically upon rehire.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Prevention of Retroactive Accruals:<\/strong>\u00a0Stops PTO from back-calculating for employees added late to a policy.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>UZIO Payroll Enhancements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Enhanced Employee Tax Withholding Setup:<\/strong>\u00a0How employees view or update their state tax withholding pages and provide consent when making changes.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Voluntary Life Deduction Enhancements:<\/strong>\u00a0Process voluntary life insurance deductions separately for employee, spouse, and child coverage.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Holiday Premium Pay Flexibility:<\/strong>\u00a0Choose whether overtime and double-time hours worked on holidays also receive premium pay.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>UZIO General Enhancements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Employee Profile Enhancements:<\/strong> Simplified field names, effective-dated tracking for key classifications, support for multi-select custom fields, license-tracking options, and bulk reporting-manager uploads.<\/li>\n<li><strong>New Biometric Policy, Privacy Policy and Terms of Use Updated:<\/strong> With the introduction of biometric features on the kiosk, our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use have been updated, along with the addition of a new Biometric Policy.
