Job Title: IT Engineer
Location: Noida (Onsite)
Experience: 2-3 years
Role Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented IT Engineer to support our growing infrastructure and internal IT operations. The ideal candidate will work closely with our Lead IT Engineer to manage day-to-day IT support, user access, network operations, and incident handling. This is a critical succession role that will serve as a backup and support function, with an opportunity to grow into a senior position over time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide first-line IT support to internal users (Windows/Linux systems).
- Monitor system health, server uptime, and network performance.
- Manage and configure user accounts, permissions, and roles (Active Directory / LDAP).
- Assist in JIRA administration, automation rules, and user group setups.
- Troubleshoot and assist with firewall and network device configurations.
- Manage and maintain Office365 services and accounts.
- Perform basic laptop repairs and system formatting.
- Administer TrendMicro Antivirus or similar security solutions.
- Support and manage Windows Servers, including patching and role management.
- Handle Active Directory, DNS, IIS, and WSUS Patch Management.
- Manage Access Points (WiFi setup, SSID configuration, basic troubleshooting).
- Perform network cable crimping, basic physical network setup, and port tracing.
- Support deployments and assist with backup and restore procedures.
- Document IT processes, asset inventory, and access logs.
- Work closely with the Lead Engineer for structured knowledge transfer and coverage planning.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 1–2 years of hands-on experience in IT Support, System Administration, or Network Support roles.
- Practical knowledge of:
- Laptop troubleshooting and basic hardware repairs.
- Office365 admin tasks (user/mailbox/group policies).
- TrendMicro Antivirus or other endpoint protection tools.
- Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, IIS, WSUS.
- Access Point setup and WiFi troubleshooting.
- Firewall basics (e.g., FortiGate/Cisco) and network device handling.
- Network cable crimping, patch panel and port-level troubleshooting.
- JIRA or similar ticketing systems.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Fast learner, able to work independently and escalate when necessary.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (preferred).
- Certifications like CCNA, CompTIA A+/N+, ITIL, or Microsoft Fundamentals are a plus.
