April 2026 release introduces enhancements across the UZIO Mobile App, Payroll, Time Off, and general platform features — improving operational control, expanding mobile self-service, and supporting important regulatory compliance requirements.

What’s New in April

UZIO Mobile App Enhancements

  • Emergency Contact Management on Mobile — Employees can now manage emergency contacts from the mobile app, including the California SB 294 authorization.
  • Single Sign-On (SSO) on Mobile — SAML 2.0-based SSO is now available on the UZIO Mobile App for SSO-enabled organizations.

UZIO Payroll Enhancements

  • SECURE 2.0 Act – Roth Catch-Up Contribution Support — Automated eligibility determination and Roth catch-up deduction setup, in line with SECURE 2.0 requirements effective 2026.
  • Washington Long-Term Care Insurance – Employer Contribution Support— Employers can now cover all or part of the employee’s WA LTI premium, or mark the company as fully exempt.
  • Michigan SUTA – Delinquent Wage Base Support— New configuration to apply the higher taxable wage base for employers designated as delinquent by the Michigan UIA.

UZIO Time Off Enhancements

  • Restrict Employee Changes to Past Approved Time Off Requests— Employees can no longer edit or cancel past-dated approved leave; managers and admins retain correction rights.

UZIO General Enhancements

  • E-Verify – Automated Reminders for Cases Requiring Employer Action — Reminder notifications to HR admins for cases pending employer action (e.g., TNC, Photo Match Pending).
  • New API Endpoints – Employee Deductions and Contributions — New REST APIs to retrieve employee deductions and employer contribution records.

Delivery Service Partner (DSP) Program Updates

  • Automatic Time Off Policy Setup for NYC DSPs— UZIO now auto-provisions the required unpaid time off policy at employer setup for NYC-based DSP employees.

Coming Next

  • New Home Page with Compliance & Risk Alerts and Action Center— A redesigned Employer Home Dashboard featuring a live workforce banner, prioritized action queue, and proactive compliance alerts, giving you a single view of what needs attention. Currently in Beta for select DSP customers, with broader availability planned soon.
  • New Version of Custom Report Builder— A redesigned report builder coming next release, letting employers design custom templates across multiple data sets, apply filters, run or schedule reports on demand, and review run history.

This release reflects our continued focus on compliance automation, mobile accessibility, and operational flexibility — especially for growing, hourly-based workforces.
